Agentic AI is definitely 2027. Do not sleep on the foundations.

If your data is stale, your AI cannot do much. We need a higher refresh rate, and that's where change data capture (CDC) or event data comes in.

Back in the day, we had a situation where our reporting took forever to update, and the business needed to make decisions faster.

I converted the entire ETL architecture to push-based consumption. That means whenever data was available in the source systems, it immediately reflected in ours.

I deployed Debezium with Kafka Connect on Kubernetes to make sure the data was updated in real time.
